I did a bit of a rant earlier today about Tumblr being spoilerly, and now the frigging series finale has been leaked, so now it’s obviously going to show up on here somewhere and spoil me, right?
Not if I’m not here.
Therefore, I’m forfeiting the reminder of the Doctor Who 30 Day Challenge and staying the hell off this site for the next six days. In fact, Internet blackout. You ain’t getting to me with this one.

not only is the ceo of abercrombie & fitch a jackass but he treated marty mcfly’s family like shit in all the back to the futures and that is inexcusable
I’m cross with parts of the fandom:
* People who claim they’re going to stop watching if the Doctor’s name is revealed next week - at what point did you decide the only reason you watched/liked Doctor Who was that you didn’t know the Doctor’s name? Even if a handful of people at Trenzalore find out what it is, it’s probably still something he’ll want to keep hidden, and therefore future characters will still be made to call him Doctor. Things probably won’t change in that regard. But just knowing the Doctor’s true name is enough for you to up and quit on everything you claim to love about the show? I call bullshit.
* People who insist that Clara’s mystery is somehow linked to Rose, or indeed any past character - I’m all for what-ifs and wishful thinking and fanfiction etc guys; indeed, I dabble in these myself. But it’s one thing to go “oh, wouldn’t it be cool if…”, it’s another thing entirely to insist that it’s going to enter the canon. Basically, you running around shouting that Clara is definitely linked to Rose because an obscure crate in the background of Hide may or may not read “Rose” if you freeze frame and read it upside down is not insightful, it is pitiful. If you seriously want to figure out the Clara mystery, start thinking about original characters, original concepts, original devices that might come into play to explain this original storyline, because that’s how television works, especially Doctor Who. Otherwise, just come to terms with the fact that what you’re proposing is fiction (which, again, there is nothing wrong with) and stop trying to convince people that it’s going to happen on TV.
* People who spoil things - this is a matter of common courtesy, plain and simple. I had to unfollow at least half a dozen blogs the other day because they all posted spoilers and rumors about future episodes, stuff I didn’t want to know and, in some cases, didn’t like. It is very easy to alert a reader to a spoiler in your post. You can have it in great big whopping letters in the title, you could put a strikethrough across the spoiler, or you could even use a page break. If you are one of those who goes ahead and doesn’t take any of these measures, then you’ve probably ruined something about the show for someone somewhere, and I’m guessing they didn’t appreciate it at all.
* People who type all emotionally all the time they’re five years old or something - eh, this is most of Tumblr, and it’s not even malicious or offensive or anything. It just looks a bit fake is all, and it kinda bugs me. No biggie. Just thought I’d slot it in as like a side note.
But yeah, everyone else, anytime you wanna stop sucking so hard, that’d be great.
Day Twenty Five - Your Favourite Who Actor
Favourite Who Actor: Kevin Stoney as Tobias Vaughn - Just for fun, I decided to limit this to one-off appearances, which actually made it a lot easier. Stoney as Vaughn was pure gold, yelling at his inferiors left right and centre and actually having the stones to get pissy with an army of Cybermen, while being nice as pie to everyone else. Probably invented being charming, brilliant and power-mad.
Between spoilers and/or insanely negative content, Tumblr, you are very much ruining Doctor Who for me. Which would be one hell of an achievement.

Day Twenty Four - Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
Best Feel Good Moment: The Earth returns home from Journey’s End (2008) - Say what you will about the story, and what it does or doesn’t do for each of the characters, but you gotta admit, this was fun. This will always be the scene where the Doctor, for one shining moment, had a family, and it’s nothing short of jovial.
Honourable mentions: The Doctor refuses the presidency from The Five Doctors (1983)
